TRAIL RATING:
Rated 2B. 10 K (With 15K option). Vacaville is a typical small town of the 20th Century. Vacaville was a prosperous farming center with beautiful Victorian Homes, both large and small, and a picturesque historic downtown. The walk is on paved and dirt recreational trails passing a lovely redwood grove, up a short steep hill on a paved trail and then around the Lagoon in lagoon Valley Regional Park. The 470 acre park includes the historic Pena Adobe home, barbecue areas, horseshoe pit, multi-purpose field, bike trails, a small pond, excellent hiking, Lagoon Valley Lake for fishing and non-motorized boating. The park also features a 30,000 square foot fenced in dog park complete with trees, water and trash receptacles. There is a 5 km extension available that goes up a significant hill on a paved road to a marvelous view of 5 counties on a clear day. Wheelchairs may have difficulty due to lack of some curb cuts. Pets must be on leash.

Credit Only is $3.00. You may participate free if no award or credit is desired. The event is open to everyone.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Water and restrooms available at the start/finish and along the route. The event must be completed during daylight hours. Register by filling out the start card, waiver, and Registration Log Form at the Start Point. Please pay by check to Vaca Valley Volks or exact change.

DIRECTIONS:
From the East (I-80), exit at Merchant St/Alamo Drive. You will be on Merchant St. when you exit. Turn left onto Alamo at the traffic light. Turn left into Alamo Plaza shopping center.
From the West on I-80, exit at Alamo Drive/Merchant Street. Stay in the left lane for Alamo north. Merge onto Alamo. Cross over the freeway. Turn left into Alamo Plaza shopping center just past the traffic signal on Merchant St. Diggers Deli is in the far left corner. Please do not park directly in front of Diggers Deli - park in the center of the lot.
